The first few scans are from back when I was in Europe. It took me about a year to be able to sit down, learn how to PROPERLY use my film scanner, after much frustrating trial and error I must add and wait patiently while it took the 3-5 minutes to scan each negative. The rest of the images are from either my trip to Harvest Moon festival I went on this summer with Jay and a few friends or our trip to Rushing River for the long weekend.
Patience
Scanning will be the death of me. Yet it's so rewarding after it is all said and done to have your film developed and scanned. The topper on the cake would be if I had access to a darkroom where I could make my own prints. The feeling of seeing your prints on gorgeous matt paper after hours of adjusting a million nobs for the perfect exposure and contrast. Oh boy.
The Night Circus
Back in the summer of 2011, Lisa Varga and I photographed the fresh young face of Sam Sarty. Such a babe and incredibly easy to work with.
I should be reading The Night Circus right now but I'm easily sidetracked with blogs and photos.
Oops.
